Our preferred vacation food: ice cream.
Apparently we didn't get a lot of non-Disney pictures. That is because they encourage the culture of picture-taking at Disney. I guess it's more important to record the moment rather than live it. People there actually spend large amounts of time standing in line to have their picture taken with various characters, which bewilders me.
We did spend four non-Disney days in Florida. But when I asked the kids on the way home what they thought of Disney, they wondered why, while they were there, Whole Foods didn't blow up and scatter free samples all over Wal-Mart, including free Bionicles. ??? Oh yes, Disney is the place where Dreams Come True. Dream fulfillment was overtly promised in all the billboards we saw on the way there. My kids' dreams emphatically did not come true at Disney. Breach of promise.
"You know what?" I asked them.
"What?" they replied.
"Disney World is just one big scam," I said.
"Yeah, Disney World is one big pbthpbth," agreed The Princess.
Yep, we had fun.
